Duval: Mauritius Is Getting Dangerously Close To A Narco State

On his Facebook page, the leader of the opposition commented on the arrest of Jean Hubert Franklin in a statement. “I have repeatedly expressed my apprehensions that Mauritius is getting dangerously close to a ‘narco state’,” laments Xavier-Luc Duval. Xavier-Luc Duval added that if everything that is said in relation to Franklin case is confirmed, that will prove him right. For the PMSD leader, this case demonstrates the extent to which our institutions are subject to an unhealthy control. He added that our democracy is more than ever under threat. According to Xavier-Luc Duval, all this is extremely serious and further darkens the future of the country. Xavier-Luc Duval concluded by saying that we must at all costs restore the proper functioning of both our institutions and our democracy.
