The first stage of the Tour of Mauritius 2022 takes place this Tuesday in the north of the island. A long stage of 127.2 kilometers awaits the riders. The start will be given in Terre Rouge at 10:30 am while the finish will be judged in Forbach around 1:15 pm.
Seventy riders from fifteen teams will fight for the different jerseys during five days on 490 kilometers. The clubs from Reunion Island have once again answered the call and will undoubtedly be the ones to try to put Team MCB Maurice in danger.
The latter aspires to dominate once again the Tour de Maurice and to work to offer Christopher Lagane a second consecutive yellow tunic on the Mauritian roads.
Christopher Lagane was unlucky during the last Tour de la Réunion where he was aiming for the pass of three but he could not finish the Tour due to gastrointestinal problems.
The second stage will be held on Wednesday over 90 km. On Thursday, the individual time trial (17 km) is scheduled and the fourth stage in the afternoon over 95.9 km.
The most feared stage with the passages of Chamarel, Plaine Champagne and Bassin Blanc over 104.2 km will probably seal the outcome of the Tour de Mauritius 2022.
The closing stage over a distance of 54 km will take place on Saturday in Sorèze.
