The Mauritian Christopher Lagane of the MCB Mauritius team won the second stage of the Tour of Mauritius 2022 on Wednesday October 19th. He took the yellow jersey. This second stage was also marked by the triple win of Team MCB Mauritius with Christopher Lagane, Alexandre Mayer and Aurélien de Comarmond.
Team MCB Mauritius has taken control of the Tour de Mauritius 2022. By far the best team of this Tour 2022, Christopher Lagane’s teammates have done a great team work on the 90 kilometers of the day to monopolize the podium.
The result was a nice stage victory in 2h 14 mins 37 secs for Christopher Lagane. Alexandre Mayer takes the second place in 2h 15mins 02secs and Aurélien De Comarmond finishes third in 2h 15mins 16secs.
In the general classification Christopher Lagane is ahead of Alexandre Mayer by 21 seconds and the Frenchman Maxime Jolly of Faucon Flacq SC-KFC, yellow jersey in the first stage, by 35 seconds.
This Thursday, October 20, will be contested the individual time trial at 8am in Le Morne and a 95.9 kilometer long road race with the start in Tamarin at 1:30pm.
