In his first appearance at the African Junior Track Cycling Championships, Samuel Dupuy collected four medals, including one gold and three bronze.
Samuel Dupuy struck first with a third-place finish in the Keirin event. This event involves following a motorized machine that sets a certain pace before pulling away two and a half laps from the finish.
On the same day, Samuel Dupuy took third place on the podium in the 10 km endurance event. His third bronze medal came in the individual pursuit.
And he saved the best for last. In the sprint event, the Mauritian demonstrated all his power by beating South Africa’s Morgan Jones in two heats.
