The Department of Health and Welfare laboratories performed 1,695 PCR tests on Sunday, July 04, 2021. The results were obtained late in the evening.
- 4 cases were detected through ongoing Contact Tracing exercises.
- 7 cases were detected in COVID-19 Testing Centres. 5 cases have been confirmed as epidemiologically linked. 2 cases are still under investigation.
- 1 patient admitted to New ENT Hospital died. The primary cause of death is attributed to a condition other than COVID-19.
1,347 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and as of yesterday afternoon, 1,036 of them, considered cured, have been able to return home.
There are currently 291 active cases of COVID-19 in the country and as of this morning, only 35 of them were admitted to the New ENT Hospital due to pre-existing co-morbidities or mild symptoms requiring medical supervision.
