It is valid from 7pm to 6am the following day… It begins this Saturday 29 January and will remain valid until Thursday 10 February.
The Prime Minister has thus responded positively to the call of the High Level Committee on Covid-19 in Rodrigues. It is under the Quarantine Act that this curfew has been introduced. The details have already been published in the Government Gazette on Saturday 29 January.
Under the curfew, the people who will be allowed to move around are: those who hold a permit issued by the Commissioner of Police; employees of the disciplinary forces; people seeking care, medicine or food; doctors and nursing staff; pharmacists and their employees; and employees of essential sectors.
