Department of Health and Welfare laboratories have completed testing of 984 PCR tests as of 5:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
- 10 cases were detected because of ongoing contact tracing exercises.
- 2 cases detected by self-testing were subsequently confirmed by PCR tests. Epidemiological links have already been established.
- 2 cases were detected at the COVID-19 Testing Centre. They are a resident of Petite Julie and a resident of Rose Hill. These cases are still under investigation.
1,445 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5th and 1,100 of them, considered cured, have returned home.
The country currently has 324 active cases of COVID-19.
