The Department of Health and Welfare laboratories performed 3,021 PCR tests yesterday, July 07, 2021. The final results were obtained late Wednesday evening.
- 4 cases were detected through ongoing Contact Tracing exercises.
- 1 case was detected at the COVID-19 Testing Centre at SSRN Hospital. The epidemiological link is under investigation.
- 1 patient admitted to New ENT Hospital died. The primary cause of death was attributed to a condition other than COVID-19.
1,431 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and as of yesterday afternoon, 1,087 of them, considered cured, have been able to return home.
To date, there are 323 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
