As in the case of alleged drug trafficking, the former Muay Thay trainer has also been granted bail in the conspiracy case. In court this afternoon, the decision was taken to release him on bail of Rs 30,000 and an IOU of Rs 100,000.
In the first case, he was released on two sureties of Rs 400,000 each and an IOU of Rs 6 million.
The former national Muay Thai coach is no longer in detention. He was granted bail in the conspiracy case on Thursday, following the seizure of a mobile phone outside his cell at Alcatraz. He spoke briefly to the press. He thanked the judiciary, the DPP’s office and his lawyers. He said he would comment on several of them in due course. He added that he simply wanted to hug his mother whom he has not seen for 5 months.
