Our fellow countryman, Richarno Colin is one step away from a gold medal. The Mauritian boxer beat Ghanaian Abdul Wahib Omar 5-0 in the semi-final.
Richarno Colin won his match against the Ghanaian Abdul Wahid Omar this Saturday during the semi-final of boxing at the Commonwealth Games of Birmingham 2022. He enters the final which will be held tomorrow, Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 18:15 where he will face the Scotsman Reese Lynch.
24 years after the feat achieved by another boxer, Richard Sunee, the only Mauritian sportsman to have won a gold medal at these Games Richard Colin will box for a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in the category of less than 63 kg. The whole country believes in it and will be in front of the TV while wishing that Richarno Colin goes up this evening on the highest step of the podium.
