Matteo Tin Wan Yuen and Gabrielle Bathfield won their second gold medal at these games on the second day of swimming in Gold Coast
Seven of the ten gold medals at stake during the second day of swimming at the Olympic pool of Côte d’Or yesterday were won by the Réunionese. Mauritius saved the day thanks to Matteo Tin Wan Yuen in the 100m breaststroke and Gabrielle Bathfield in the 100m butterfly.
Reunion Island won seven gold medals. Timeo Bordier in the 50m and 100m butterfly, Mahee Gory-Lauret in the 100m breaststroke and 200m backstroke and the two relay teams in the 4 x 200m freestyle contributed to this great harvest of medals for the sister island. The Seychelles saved the day with Elizabeth Khema in the 50m butterfly.
The third day takes place this Friday at 10 am in Cote d’Or.
