CJSOI 2022: Athletics (Day 4): Fruitful Day For Mauritius

The double of Alvin Emilien in shot put and discus, the second gold medal of Melissa Prudence, a time of 49.04 sec in the men’s 400 m for Yohan Murden and the triple of Mauritius in the women’s 400 m are the facts of the fourth day in athletics played yesterday in Côte-d’Or.

Alvin Emilien from Rodrigues was the star of this fourth day. He gave a show of strength by winning the discus and javelin competition. “I prepared myself to be in the best conditions for this competition. I was confident in this double victory,” he said.

In the men’s 400m, Yohan Murden was the only one to go under 50 seconds in the 400m with a time of 49.04 secs. In the girls 400m Clareta Letourdi also won with authority and Maurice monopolized the podium in this race.

Melissa Prudence, after winning the 100m in the T20 category, took the top step of the podium this time in the long jump. As for Burtley Lisette, he won the shot put competition in the T13 category with a throw of 6m70.
