Bulramaya Refuse To Be Sworn In As Councillor Of BB-RH

Must Read

Yesterday, a new development occurred at the Beau-Bassin/Rose-Hill Municipal Council. Leyvin Bulramaya ought to have taken Alain Letandrie’s former MSM/ML council seat, which he vacated. The latter was scheduled for inauguration on Tuesday. He declined the invitation saying: “I cannot come and be sworn in as a councillor this Tuesday as I have been a member of the Reform Party executive since February 2017!” This is that Leyvin Bulramaya wrote in a letter to the Chief Executive of the Beau-Bassin-Rose-Hill Town Hall dated 2 May 2023. Leyvin Bulramaya is the candidate chosen to replace Alain Letanderie, whose councillor’s seat was declared vacant because he had joined the Reform Party. But he is saying now that he is loyal to Roshi Bhadain and therefore, he cannot accept to serve as a councillor. Leyvin Bulramaya was due to be sworn in at a special council meeting on Tuesday. The meeting had been scheduled for 19 April but was postponed at the last minute. The special session was rescheduled for Tuesday 2 May.
