Around thirty employees of Transinvest Construction Ltd met in Petit-Sable on the 18th June. Their mission was the cleaning-up of this coastal area over 400 meters. Divided into several teams, they filled a truck that could contain 5 tonnes of waste. This region was chosen because it will soon be the subject of surfacing work as part of a “Coastal Protection” project which will be launched by the Ministry of the Environment, Waste Management and Climate Change.
“As respect for the environment is at the heart of Transinvest Construction Ltd’s values, this initiative is part of our commitments. We would like to thank all the employees who took part in it. We hope to organize similar operations in other parts of the island by the end of this year,” stated Lakhsmi Devi Emrith, Environment Officer at Transinvest Construction Ltd. She added that meanwhile, Transinvest Construction Ltd will continue to educate its employees and the public about the importance of protecting and preserving our natural resources, both in their professional and private activities.
