G-Trail and its main partners Bamyris Motors, dealer of Hyundai and Volvo cars, Phoenix Beverages represented by Crystal and Coca-Cola brands, City Sport, Go Sport, Moka Smart City, Nutricorp and the National Transport Corporation were in front of the press last Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Go Sport store in Bagatelle to present the first round of the City Sport Urban Trail 2022 league.
Launched in February 2020, the urban trail league had been halted due to the health measures in force because of the Covid 19 pandemic. G-Trail had tried to relaunch its campaign in 2021 by betting on virtual challenges in order to satisfy the demand of its faithful participants.
And in this year 2022 with the relaxation of sanitary measures in the country, G-Trail Ltd did not hesitate to go again to the meeting of its faithful, by proposing a league composed of five rounds, with a first stage which will take place on April 23 in Motor City of Bagatelle. The last stage should be held in November 2022.
To this end, the concept of the 2022 league and the organization of the first round was presented to the press. “We have had many requests to revive the urban trail league. Within our organization we thought it was important to get the population moving. Thus, with the contribution of partners of values who believe firmly in the development of elite and mass sports, we are able to launch our 2022 campaign,” said the director of G-Trail Ltd, Xavier Verny.
For his part, Dominique Filleul, General Manager of City Sport and a leading figure in Mauritian sport said “we are very happy to be associated with such an event. We are for the development of sport in Mauritius. And this event is in line with our philosophy”.
The first round of the Bamyris Motors-City Sport Urban Trail 2022, 8 km long, will be held at Motor City de Bagatelle with the start and finish taking place in the premises of Bamyris Motors, Platinum sponsor of the event. No less than 300 participants are expected for the event.
