Athletics – African Senior Championships: Lararaudeuse Second In 110M Hurdles

Jeremie Lararaudeuse is again in the news. After his national record of 110 m hurdles set on May 9 in France in 13seconds 77, he signs a new feat.

This time he finished second in the 110 hurdles final yesterday at the African Championships which are held until Sunday at the Cote d’Or Multi sports Complex.

His time; 13 seconds 55 hundredths. However, this time will not be homologated because of a too favorable wind of 4,8 m/s.

The winner, the Algerian Amine Bouanani, stopped the time in 13seconds 26 while the South African Antonio Alkana competes on the podium with his 13”59.

After the race, the 21-year-old Mauritian hurdler could not hide his joy at the finish.

An encouraging performance, he says for the future.

Another highlight of the day, the final of the 100 meters men.

The Mauritian Noa Bibi finished in 7th place, but with a very honorable performance of 10 seconds 14 hundredths. That is 1 tenth of the national record of 10”13, made by Stephan Buckland since 2001 in Ottawa.

The race was won by Kenyan Ferninand in 9’93.

In front of the South African Akani Simbine in 9”93 also. They were separated by the photo finish.

It is also the first time that we pass under 10 seconds.

Noa Bibi will not let himself be impressed and hopes to beat this famous record soon.
