American actor and filmmaker, Danny DeVito, who gave his voice to the animated project Little Demon series, expressed his fondness and love for Indian cinema. DeVito could not stop talking about Bollywood and their filmmaking methods.
DeVito spoke of some popularly watched Indian films like RRR and shared that he would like to give Bollywood a try. His daughter and actress, Lucy DeVito as well as co-star Aubrey Plaza had the same appreciation for Indian cinema.
Speaking in an interview with an Indian news outlet, India Today.in, Danny said, “I love Bollywood big time. In fact, as a matter of fact, a few days back, I watched RRR and another one R… Rajkumar, it was really good. I think if I had my way next season or whenever I could talk everybody into it, we should definitely bust into a big number.” His co-star, Aubrey Plaza agreed on this and further added, “We need to do Bollywood” along with Danny.
In addition, Danny shared the reason why he loved Bollywood. “What I love about Bollywood is it keeps the story intact. If it’s a love story, then the two romantic leads will be seen going at it. Like in RRR, it’s about the battles between everybody but they keep up the story even in the singing. And I love that aspect of it. I think it’s great”, he expressed.
For those who are unaware, RRR was directed by SS Rajamouli and the cast includes Ram Charan, Junior NTR, Alia Bhatt playing the lead roles along with Ajay Devgn playing a crucial role. The film’s story is set in the pre-independence period. The film, released in multiple Indian languages, received huge fanfare, not just from the South but the audience from the entire country as well as the world.
