PM pravind kumar Jugnauth and family attended a reception hosted by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Mauritius, Mr Liying Zhu, yesterday, at the Port Louis Cruise Terminal in Les Salines to celebrate the Chinese New Year 2024.
Ambassador Zhu praised the vibrant participation of Mauritians in the festivities, emphasizing the cultural diversity of Mauritius. He highlighted Mauritius’ pivotal role in the upcoming Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, as a gateway for collaboration with Africa.
Overall, the event highlighted the strong cultural ties between both countries and the prospects for future cooperation and development.
