Amareshwar Singh has been questioned under warning at the CCID since this morning. At around 10.30 a.m., the police took him to his home in Rose-Hill for a search. Sherry Singh’s father is represented by lawyer Rooben Mooroongapillay.
In the afternoon, his interrogation is over. Amareshwar Singh has returned home… a free man. This is what his lawyer, Rouben Mooroongapillay, said shortly after 2pm. He said that his client had explained himself, that a search had been carried out and that he had been allowed to return home.
The Special Striking Team was at Amareshwar Singh’s house in Rose-Hill. The latter is suspected to be a major player in the business surrounding the sale of thousands of tonnes of Mauritius Telecom copper.
