The news of Annabelle’s death shocked many on Saturday April 27. Particularly the actress’s close friends, like Alexandre Martin: “Annabelle never wanted to give her loved ones a hard time.” So, apart from her immediate family, no one knew that she had been ill for two years. When she was hospitalized, she even asked her husband not to tell me, even though I had to undergo surgery myself. My wife was able to visit her in hospital, and it wasn’t long before the sad news broke. Her death affected me greatly, as she was one of the few actresses with whom I had chemistry on stage”, explains Alexandre.
Alexandre will remember Annabelle as a person with a strong character: “In the plays she played, she often embodied characters with a strong character, and I can tell you she was like that on and off stage. I’ll remember her for her dynamism and her smile,” points out Alexandre, who was Annabelle’s acting teacher in her early days.
