The aim of the rally is to denounce the increase in fuel prices, which the association describes as unfair. ACIM’s Secretary General was in front of the press on Tuesday. Jayen Chellum announced that the rally would be held this Saturday at 2.30pm in the streets of the capital.
After criticizing at length the taxes imposed by the government on fuel, the Association’s General Secretary, Jayen Chellum, appealed to Ongs and the trade union class to join ACIM in denouncing what he had previously described as “bad cinema”. He also appealed to all consumers to take part.
On Saturday, the price of petrol rose from Rs 69 to Rs 72.10 a litre. The price of diesel rose from Rs 54.55 to Rs 60 a litre.
