The victim’s body was initially taken to the North Hospital morgue, before being transferred to the Dr A G Jeetoo morgue in Port-Louis for an autopsy, which was carried out by Dr Maxwell Monvoisin, Principal Police Medical Officer. He attributed the cause of death to multiple injuries.
The driver will be brought before the Pamplemousses court on Thursday morning, May 2, on a provisional charge of manslaughter.
