The 18th race meeting has been rescheduled from Saturday the 28th of August to Sunday the 29th of August due to bad weather and track conditions, and there will be two days of racing next week-end. The feature race will be very interesting with a clash between Marauding, who is now the favourite, and Rob Roy the 990m specialist.
Punters believe that it will be a very open contest in the main event of this meeting. Winner of The Lightning Cup and having won six times over 990m, Rob Roy was the favourite of race 6 at the opening of the odds on Thursday afternoon. It’s no longer the case as his price dropped from 280 to 290. The Ramapatee Gujadhur’s trained horse, Marauding, is tipped to win it as he is the new favourite (from 300 to 270). And, it is better to be cautious in that race as there have been betting on two outsiders Bergerac from (2500 to 1500) and Master Of Illusion (from 3000 to 2500).
There will be a big fight in race 3 where the two best horses Mac’N Scar (from 310 to 250) and Candy Apple (from 330 to 305) have been backed.
The two big favourites of the day are Mauritius (from 1605 to 160) in race 2 and Walls Of Dubrovnik (from 165 to 165) in race 4. They are both trained by Shyam Hurchund and they will be ridden by Brazilian jockey Ivaldo Santana.
