Department of Health and Welfare laboratories conducted 3,245 PCR tests on Wednesday, July 21 2021. The final results were obtained late in the evening.
- 3 cases were detected in quarantine facilities on Day 7.
- 16 cases were detected in COVID-19 Testing Centres.
- 22 cases have been detected through ongoing Contact Tracing exercises.
- 1 case was detected in a quarantine center on Day 14.
- 4 cases were detected in quarantine centers on Day 3.
The Contact Tracing teams of the Ministry of Health and Welfare have also conducted yesterday (July 21, 2021) a targeted screening exercise with residents of 3 dormitories.
The exercise detected 50 positive cases.
The 3 dormitories are under strict health surveillance and operate as quarantine centers.
All residents of the 3 dormitories involved are vaccinated against COVID-19 and those tested positive are completely asymptomatic.
2,686 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and as of yesterday afternoon, 1,336 of them, considered cured, were able to return home.
To date, the country has 1,328 active cases of COVID-19.
