The 2023 will kick-off at the Champ-de-mars racecourse on Saturday. Seven horses will compete in the main race with the favorite Juniper Lane who will try to win from pillar to post. Dynamite Jack is a strong finisher, and he can be right there.
Trainer Samraj Mahadia has two good chance with Juniper Lane and Tower Of Wisdom. Juniper Lane is a good ‘front-runner’ who won over 1365m and he in 2022. He will try to win this race from start to finish. He can take the lead easily as he will break from a good draw. He seemed to be in a great shape and he will be the horse to beat.
His stable mate, Tower Of Wisdom did well last year bagging a win. He is a very consistent horse. He will start from gate number 1, and he will be able to follow in an ideal position before finishing well.
Dynamite Jack will be the main danger. He did not win last year, but he did well against much better horses than those he will meet this Saturday. He is an excellent finisher who has been looked after by South African trainer Dominic Zaki. He should not follow too far behind before finishing strongly.
Battle Of Alesia will be a decent outsider. He won on the 8th meeting in 2022. He then changed trainer during the season and ended well with two good performances behind Emblem Of Hope and Special Blend. He did well in training and he upset the odds.

There have been heavy rainfalls on Friday all over Mauritius. The Stipendiary Stewards of the Horse Racing Division (HRD) will carry an inspection of the race track of the Champ-de-mars on Saturday mourning before giving the go-ahead for the first race meeting.
