Pravind Jugnauth Contests “Malicious Connection” On The Picture With Rikesh Sumbhoo

Pravind Jugnauth’s attorney said the Prime Minister had become aware of a series of press publications, radio reports and online publications attempting to make a “malicious connection” between him and a money laundering case in the news. It concerns a photo of Rikesh Sumbhoo with the Prime Minister that is being circulated. The photo was taken in Rodrigues. Pravind Jugnauth said he strongly condemns these attempts which are, according to him, pure fabrication, devoid of any foundation and malicious. They have no other purpose than to damage his reputation. Pravind Jugnauth said he has initiated consultations with his lawyers to take legal action against those responsible for such highly reprehensible acts and these false and defamatory statements.
