About twenty artists were rewarded at the Mauritius Music Award 2022, which was held at the Sports Complex of Côte d’Or. A successful evening, which gathered a very large crowd with Jerry Nayna as master of ceremony.
Alain Ramanisum won the Gold Award. Blakkayo, twice consecrated, obtained the title of best male artist, thanks to his album, Soz Serye, which was also elected the best album of the year. Alexandre Sylvain, also known as Ti Alexandre and Anastasia Perrine, two young singers of the group Lion Squad, won the title of best collaboration for the year 2022 and best Rodriguan artist, respectively. The best Rodriguan artist was Tazou.
Sky to Be as Best Sega Artist. Musical video of the year is Mama Africa by Joel Capillaire. Winner of the award for Best Cultural Music, Jerry N the Resistance. Best female voice is Laura Beg and Linzy Bacbotte wins the best female artist.
Jerry Nayna paid a special and moving tribute to our deceased artists: Marclaine Antoine Georgia Jo, Carino, Jason Leboucher, LIN, Xavier Figaro (drummer).
