The President of the Council of the Chinese Speaking Union, Mr Louis Hung Wai Wing, accompanied by a delegation, met the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Prithvirajsing Roopun, this morning, at the State House in Réduit.
In a statement after the meeting, Mr Louis Hung Wai Wing said that he was grateful to the President for having met him along with his delegation. “Discussions,” he emphasised, “focused on matters relating to the Chinese Speaking Union.”
The President of the Council of the Chinese Speaking Union pointed out that during the meeting, he brought forth key projects in the pipeline for this year, namely a poetry competition, exhibitions, and Mandarin language courses. He added that the Council was considering the organisation of a seminar that would encompass a wide array of themes including business, culture and tourism.
In addition, Mr Louis Hung Wai Wing underlined that they spoke about the International Chinese Language Conference which would be held next year.
