The Ministry of Health and Welfare would like to inform the public that the seasonal flu vaccination campaign will start tomorrow, Monday, April 11, 2022.
Flu vaccination is recommended to the public and especially to people belonging to risk groups such as:
- Children aged six months to five years
- Members of the health staff
- Pregnant women
- People with the following diseases:
- Chronic bronchopulmonary disease, including chronic bronchitis and asthma
- chronic bronchopulmonary disease, including chronic bronchitis and asthma -tuberculosis
- chronic renal failure requiring dialysis
- cancer
- HIV/AIDS
- chronic cardiovascular disease
- diabetes
- other chronic diseases with medical certification from a physician.
The public can refer to the vaccination schedule below and visit Area Health Centres, Community Health Centres, Mediclinics and District Hospitals for the administration of the flu vaccine.
