The young and very promising hurdler, Jérémie Lararaudeuse, the only Mauritian representative at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade, was in action this Sunday afternoon in the 60 m hurdles.
Engaged in the fifth series, the Mauritian whose best time is 7.78 seconds finished at the seventh place in the time of 7.94 seconds. Thus he does not reach the semi-finals of this event. The fifth series was won by the American Grant Holloway who in 7.40 secs recorded the best time of the heats.
The apprenticeship at the high level continues for the new hope of Mauritian athletics.
