The Ministry of Public Service clarifies that the circular No. 59 concerning the granting of transport facilities for civil servants to do the Booster dose has been “repealed”. Henceforth, the latter will have to make their own arrangements to travel to the four Vaccination centres, which include the Swami Viveknanda Convention Centre, James Burty David Gymnasium, Plaza and Plain- Verte Youth Centre.
In a circular issued yesterday, the office of the Secretary for Public Service, stresses that civil servants should move to the concerned centres according to the arrangements made by the Ministry of Health. Also, the said circular stresses that employees of parastatals, local governments and state agencies must also find their own means of transportation to get to the vaccination centres. It should be noted that the circular No. 59 stated that the control officers are also requested to provide transportation to bring the employees to the aforementioned vaccination centres on the scheduled date and time and to arrange their release accordingly.
