An umpteenth road accident occurred on the night of Tuesday, December 20 on the Royal Road from Kewal Nagar to Belle Rive near the SSR garden. Adriano Julien Kader, 21 years old lost control of the motorcycle he was driving. His body was found at two and a half meters in a field of cane, while his two-wheeled machine of the Haojue brand was nine meters further along the road. The young man died on the way to the hospital. Thus, this victim is the 103rd death on our roads since the beginning of this year, compared to 107 for the same period in 2021.
It was around 9:35 pm on Tuesday evening, December 20, that a team of police officers from the Bel Air Rivière Sèche police station was called to an accident on the Royal Road in Kewal Nagar. A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident. Adriano Kader lost control of his motorcycle. He was thrown into a field of cane at a distance of two meters and a half from the road, while his motorcycle ended up nine meters further along the road.
An ambulance from the Emergency Medical Service was dispatched to the scene of the accident to take the injured man to the Dr. Bruno Cheong Hospital in Flacq. Dr. Coolen unfortunately pronounced him dead at about 9:48 p.m., while the injured man was on his way to the hospital. This Wednesday morning, December 21, the body of Adriano Kader was autopsied at the morgue of the Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital, Port-Louis. The autopsy was performed by Dr. Prem Chamane, Principal Police Medical Officer, who attributed his death to craniocerebral injuries.
