The Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Recreation is organizing the 4th edition of the Street Dance Battle (SDB). Dancers who want to be part of the adventure have until October 5 to submit a two-minute video. A total of 80 participants will be selected in five categories. The final is scheduled for mid-November.<\/p>\n
Due to Covid-19, this year there will be no island-wide selection. To participate in the SDB, you just have to send a video as Kenji Kennedy, the coordinator, explains: “Those interested should send us their video either by email: myesrrecreation@gmail.com or by Whatsapp: 57 73 32 89. This competition is open to 5 categories: 1. Afro Dance. 2. Hip Hop. 3. Break Dance kids (from 4 years old) 4. Break Dance (+ 16 years old). In these 4 categories the participants will compete in one-on-one battles. The 5th category will be dedicated to choreographies in any dance style. In this category, participants can gather in groups of 2 to 5 people.<\/p>\n
