The Minister of Tourism, currently Acting Prime Minister, held a press conference yesterday morning at Hotel Le Victoria, Pointe aux Piments. Steven Obeegadoo explained that, over the last three months, Mauritius’ performance in its main European markets is comparable to that before the pandemic. “Over the last three months, we are at almost 100% of the pre-Covid figures on the French, German and British markets, which represent 40% of our arrivals,” says Steven Obeegadoo.<\/p>\n
He added that Mauritius is experiencing “an extraordinary year with everyone helping out”. He stated that “we can end the year being well satisfied with what we have achieved”. Steven Obeegadoo also explained that there were several challenges to overcome since the opening of the borders in\u00a0October\u00a02021.<\/p>\n
