What will be the fallout of the Government in the face of these warnings from LPM?<\/p>\n<h4><strong>No illegality<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>LPM was as vocal as ever at its press briefing on Wednesday 25 May. The leaders said that they had acted legally on Tuesday 24 May and that there was no need to question them for \u2018Unlawful Vehicular Procession\u2019 or \u2018Infringement of the Public Gatherings Act\u2019 or to summon the 20 vehicles listed. &#8220;The instruction of the \u2018Operation Go-Slow\u2019 was to drive at 20 km\/h. There was no procession as described. We did not use flags, banners, or voice carriers. The traffic jam was caused when ASP Seeparsand stopped me for questioning. We did not do anything illegal,&#8221; argued Bruneau Laurette. The Linion Pep Morisien also denounced a campaign of intimidation and demonization against them.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>PM: &#8220;They are trying to destabilize the country\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Following these events on Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth spoke openly about the Go-Slow Operation in the streets of the capital.\u00a0 The PM deplored these positions and actions. &#8220;They are creating disorder and they are trying to destabilize the country&#8221;. During this outing against LPM on the occasion of the inauguration of a &#8220;Sub-Hall&#8221; in R\u00e9duit and another in Moka, the PM made it clear that &#8220;the 2022-23 budget will be difficult because of a lack of visibility on the economic situation&#8230; The country is facing inflation&#8230; There are risks of shortages of certain products that cannot be purchased.\u201d Speaking about subsidies, he also warned that &#8220;the funds are limited&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>LPM warning<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Linion Pep Morisien is looking forward to the end of the Council of Ministers&#8217; session on Friday 27 May.
