This Sunday, 17 April, the most important Christian festival is celebrated: Easter. It means “passage” and marks the resurrection of Christ, his return to life.<\/p>\n
By this passage from death to life, Christ saved man from sin and called him to eternal life. This is why the feast of Easter, celebrated with a solemn mass, is the high point of the Christian liturgical calendar. This day of joy is marked in the churches by the colour white or gold, a symbol of joy and light. And joy and gladness are also present in families. For many Christians have fasted for 40 days. So, after mass, it is time for rejoicing.<\/p>\n
For Christians, Christmas is a very famous festival, but Easter is the most important.<\/p>\n
Then, on Easter Sunday, the Easter mass celebrated by Father Lodoiska will be live on the radio at 9am from the Saint-Marc church, Flic en Flac. The mass celebrated by Pope Francis live from St Peter’s Basilica will be broadcast on MBC Sat \/ Senn Kreol at 11.50am. At the end of the celebration in the central loge of the Vatican Basilica, the Pope will give the blessing “Urbi et Orbi”.<\/p>\n
On the same day, there will also be the traditional Easter message by Cardinal Piat on MBC TV1 \/ MBC Sat \/ Senn Kreol at 20:15.<\/p>\n
On Easter evening, at 20:30 on MBC SAT and Senn Kreol, a special programme “Easter, a time of hope” will be broadcast.
