Vivo Energy Mauritius, the Shell franchise holder, has been building strong links with its direct neighbours and the surrounding population for over six decades. The company provides regular support to the region: cleaning of the Mer Rouge Bay by employees, donations of school materials to children at the start of the 2019 school year, distribution of food packs in 2020 and 2021, and free medical check-ups. Today, it is the employees’ turn to show their solidarity.
Nearly one hundred employees have taken the initiative to finance basic foodstuffs for people in difficult circumstances. This action was all the more popular as the Roche Bois population is well represented among the employees. This food distribution was carried out in collaboration with the non-governmental organisation Caritas Mauritius.
