Tourism : Mauritius Back In France’s Green List

Must Read

Mauritius is once again on the green list of its biggest tourist market, France. The reclassification from the Orange to the Green List was made effective by a ministerial order issued on Wednesday 16 February. This list includes more than twenty other countries.  Mauritius nevertheless remains on the Orange list of the island of Reunion.

This Green List concerns those countries or territories with negligible or moderate circulation of the virus, in the absence of an emerging variant of concern. This list includes countries in the European area, plus Bahrain, Cape Verde, Cambodia, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Ecuador, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Honduras, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Fiji, Mauritius, Samoa, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Mauritania, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Qatar, Rwanda, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Vanuatu, Venezuela and Vietnam.

Travellers from countries on the Green List will not need to present a PCR test to travel to France. However, they will need to provide proof of a complete vaccination schedule to arrive in France. For unvaccinated travellers, the obligation to present a negative test to travel to France remains, but the measures on arrival (test, isolation) are lifted when they come from Green List countries. In addition, almost all the health restrictions still in force in France could be lifted within a few weeks, if the improvement on the Covid epidemic front becomes a reality.
