The Italians Will Play The Final Of The Euro!

Must Read

At the end of the suspense, Italy took the best on Spain (1-1, 4-2) during the penalty shoot-out this Tuesday at Wembley on the Euro semi-finals.  A qualification snatched by the Transalpine despite difficulties in the game.

Italy is therefore the first finalist of Euro 2020. Federico Chiesa had opened the score at the hour of play for the Squadra while Alvaro Morata had equalized ten minutes from the end.

In this match, the Spanish dominated, but the Transalpine team showed great solidarity to win the qualification on penalties. The Squadra Azzura was serious in this exercise while La Roja, with failures of Dani Olmo and Alvaro Morata, cracked. On Sunday, Italy will challenge the winner of the match England – Denmark on Wednesday for the European title.

The beginning of the game was balanced, and Italy was the first team to bring the danger. Nicolo Barella, who was thrown in deep, hit the post before being flagged offside (4th). After this first alert, Spain settled in the Italian camp. Mikel Oyarzabal found himself alone in front of Gianluigi Donnarumma after Pedri had opened the scoring but missed the target (12′).

With Pedri at the top of his game, Spain dominated the proceedings, but lacked precision in truth. Italy resisted until the break and Emerson even hit the bar with a shot from a tight angle. Chiesa wakes up Italy, Morata equalizes!

After the break, Busquets’ curling shot sent a shiver down the spine of the Italian fans as it flew over Donnarumma’s bar. In the second half, the pace was quickening, and Chiesa reacted with a dangerous shot that was saved by Simon. For long minutes, Spain managed to calm the game by controlling the ball, but on a counter, Chiesa fixed Garcia and curled a shot to open the score (1-0, 59th)! The Italians had a chance to equalize, but Oyarzabal, on a golden service from Koke, missed his header in front of Donnarumma… Ready to sting on counterattacks, the Italians were close to making the break, but Simon interfered with Berardi. With a low block, the Squadra Azzurra seemed to be in control, but Morata, served by Olmo, pierced the defense in the axis and equalized with a placed shot (1-1, 80th).
