‘Stranger Things’ Joins Elite Netflix Club Of Reaching Billion Viewing Hours

‘Stranger Things’ season four is being watched by billions by the hour. The series was released with  two episodes on July 1, as surveyed by the streamer’s internet tracking, paving its way into the Netflix club of classics. The show has surpassed over one billion hours of viewing time.

The latest season of the show crossed 1.15 billion hours of viewing hours by the 28th day of its release.

The first seven episodes of the first volume of the fourth season reached only 930.32 million hours in 28 days while the last two episodes of the same season managed to cross 300 million viewing hours just within a week. Another Netflix original series, Squid Game, is the only web series to have had more than 1.65 billion hours of other Netflix originals combined.

In the case of the split seasons of Stranger Things, Netflix began counting the watching time of the second set of episodes, in the course of the 28 days of its release. It has been predicted that the show could either come close to or outrank the record set by the Korean series within the next three weeks.

The Hollywood Reporter has noted the first three seasons have persistently been on the top 10 on Netflix’s English language list for the last 15 days. The final two episodes are approximately three-quarters of ‘Stranger Things’ season four viewing, though it was available only for three days.

‘Stranger Things’ is the highest among being weekly watched in the United States, according to Nielsen weekly streaming rankings. The show, as per the observations of the streaming service, has had eminent results analytically, in terms of watching time this weekend.
