Her sister did not want her son to be denounced to her relatives, let alone to the police.

On Sunday October 15, her 33-year-old daughter from Camp Fouquereaux accompanied her to the Grand Baie police station to lodge a rape complaint. She was then taken to the Hôpital du Nord for treatment, where the protocol for victims of sexual abuse was put in place. She was placed under observation at this hospital.
This case has been referred to the Abercrombie, St. Croix police station for investigation.
