The arrest of Roshi Bhadain is due to the theft of wood belonging to the state. A provisional charge of conspiracy to commit larceny was filed against the Reform Party leader. The police did not object to his release on bail. However, Mr. Jacques Panglose, one of Roshi Bhadain’s lawyers, asked that the provisional charge in question and the ban on leaving the country, which is one of the conditions of bail, be dropped.
In the morning of Friday, Roshi Bhadain was under arrest. In the afternoon, he was currently in court. The leader of the Reform Party is facing a provisional charge. He was arrested for a case dating back to 2011. This morning the police arrested him and took him to the Central Barracks where he was interrogated for many hours. Thereafter, he was brought before the court of Port-Louis.
