Prince Harry’s Shocking Revelations From His Autobiography, ‘Spare’

Must Read

Prince Harry’s autobiography, Spare, has disclosed a series of sensational claims and accusations.

The book highlights resentment and discontent in the Royal Family, for example, the book claims that Harry and Prince William had requested their father to not marry Camilla.

One of the most shocking claims that Harry made in his book, which was first published by the British daily The Guardian, is the “physical attack” on him by his brother.

Here are some of the key claims and revelations from the book:

Harry and William requested father not marry Camilla

Harry mentions that he and William requested heavily their father not to marry Camilla, presently Queen Consort.

The Sun, the British tabloid which obtained a Spanish version of the autobiography, published that Harry claims he and his brother had individually met Camilla before she officially joined the royal family.

The newspaper also wrote about Harry contemplating once whether she would in future become his “wicked stepmother”, but that he and his brother were willing to forgive her in “their hearts” if she could make King Charles happy.

However, Harry did not mention the time period when this happened so that we know how old was he.

A woman with powers relaying a message from Diana

Another shocker came from Harry’s description of a woman who “claimed to have ‘powers” met him during his grief period after his mother’s death. He said that he was sad and that his sadness made him seek help with a woman. Harry again did not mention the time details of the meeting.

“Your mother says that you are living the life that she couldn’t live,” Harry says the woman told him. “You’re living the life she wanted for you.”

Harry says that his conversations with his late mother were short.

Charles ‘did not hug Harry’ when Diana died

In his autobriography, Harry explains how his father woke him to inform him about his mother, Diana’s fatal car accident.

Harry in his explaination says that Charles, who was never good at expressing his feelings under “normal circumstances”, according to Harry, did not hug him at his mother’s death.

Harry later writes about trying to recreate the automobile trip Diana took in Paris before she passed away in the hopes that it will bring him peace, but claims that it has instead made him doubt the official reason of her death.

William ‘knocked him to the floor’

Harry also writes about an argument between him and his elder brother William during which the latter grabbed his collar, ripped his necklace and beat him down to the floor at his London cottage.

The book describes about an argument between the brothers, which started after William commented on Meghan. Harry says that William was critical of Meghan and called her “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”.

As the altercation progressed, the Duke of Sussex claimed that his brother was “parrot[ing] the journalistic story.”

According to the British tabloid, Harry describes in the book what happened after that.

“He set down [a glass of] water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

When Harry lost his virginity

Harry claims that he lost his virginity to an older woman in a field behind a bar when he was 17 years old.

He describes the incident as “humiliating,” in which the woman “treated him like a young stallion.”

Killed Talibans in Afghanistan

Harry claims he killed 25 persons when he was a helicopter pilot in Afghanistan. He was involved in six deadly missions and says confidently that he considered that as justifiable as Taliban insurgents wanted to kill his comrades.

“It wasn’t a statistic that filled me with pride but nor did it leave me ashamed. When I found myself plunged in the heat and confusion of combat I didn’t think of those 25 as people. They were chess pieces removed from the board, Bad people eliminated before they could kill Good people.”
