A report of a violation of the Information Communication and Technologies Act (ICTA) was made at the Sodnac police station on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 20. The complainant is a 27-year-old police officer assigned to the Special Supporting Unit (SSU)’s Training Wing Special Intelligence Cell.
The latter, who lives in Tamarin, stated that he was filmed by two people who were in the company of Bruno Laurette on the morning of Sunday, May 7, in the parking lot of the Winners supermarket in Candos. He says he saw a video about it on the social networks of Radio Mo Pep.
This police officer says that he had been filmed without his consent while he was on duty. In this video, Bruno Laurette made negative comments against him and the police force. Bruno Laurette’s actions, he said, were detrimental to both him and the police force. He asked that this video be removed from social networks.
This police officer said he was willing to produce his cell phone with the images of the video in circulation for the need of the police investigation.
Bruno Laurette had gone to the police station of Quatre-Bornes during the weekend to make a ‘precautionary measure’. He said he was followed by a police officer during his movements.
