Since January, a total of 61 fully vaccinated people has died of Covid-19 in hospital. Of these, 44 were vaccinated at Sinopharm. This is what the Minister of Health said this morning in Parliament. This was during the Private Notice Question of Xavier Duval, the leader of the opposition.
Kailesh Jagutpal said that 48 deaths occurred at ENT Hospital, 3 at SSR Hospital, 3 at Bruno Cheong Hospital, 2 at Jeetoo Hospital and 5 at Victoria Hospital. He also said that 5 of the deceased were vaccinated at AstraZeneca. 5 others received the Covaxine vaccine and 7 the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The Health minister also said that, between October 25 and November 7, one person died at home and another at a private health center.
Kailesh Jagutpal also revealed that from October 25 to November 7, 32,593 PCR tests were performed. Of these, 1,558 were positive. There were also 42,001 rapid tests, of which 13,698 were positive.
