PM Says He Is Confident On The Verdict Of The Privy Council

Must Read

“I am confident what will be the decision of the Privy Council!” This is that Pravind Jugnauth said on Wednesday afternoon. The Prime Minister was participating in the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of a sports complex in Plaine-Verte. Referring to the electoral petition of Suren Dayal, defeated candidate of the Labour Party in constituency no 8, he said that he can deduce what will be the verdict of the Privy Council. The case will be heard before the Privy Council on 10 July. Suren Dayal of the National Alliance had filed an election petition asking the invalidation of the election of Pravind Jugnauth, Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun and Yogida Sawmynaden. The Prime Minister insisted that his mandate will end in November 2024. This means, according to him, that Government has one and a half year to concentrate on his work for the benefit of the country.
