On this Wednesday 11th May 2022, the Platform of L’Espoir was in the Constituency no 12, Plaine Magnien to talk to the inhabitants of the region about the situation in which the country finds itself and to make an observation of the difficulties faced by the region of Mahebourg-Plaine Magnien, with the main agents of the different parties of the platform of l’Espoir, namely the PMSD, the MMM, the Reform Party and the Rassemblement Mauricien.
The first one to have spoken was Xavier Luc Duval, who spoke the upcoming budget for the year 2022/2023. He stated that we are a few weeks away from the budget and we want to warn the government not to use the budget money for unnecessary projects because the population is in need and the upcoming weeks and even, upcoming years will be very crucial. On top of the Ukraine war, the situation will become more alarming and it is urgent to protect the population.
Nando Bodha, on his part, stated that the platform of L’Espoir will be a government working on the basis of meritocracy, integrity and competence.
As for the leader of the Reform Party, Roshi Bhadain, he came over the statement made by the Health Minister in Parliament yesterday on the number of deaths attributed to the Covid-19, which according to him, is false because the number of deaths due to Covid-19 is much higher. He also came over the report of the fact finding committee on the dialysis patients who lost their lives and stated that this report has to become public so that the families of the victims know the truth behind this issue.
The last one to have spoken was Paul Berenger, who stated that the limited number of persons up to 50 has to be abolished and that the Municipal Elections should be allowed. He also made it clear that the Platform of L’Espoir will continue its meetings across the country till the next General Elections.
