Two cases of theft were reported at the Père-Laval RCA school, Sainte-Croix, on the same day, Tuesday May 30. At 5 a.m., a microphone, three plastic bread baskets and a Pacific brand fan were stolen. A little later, between 6 and 7 p.m., someone broke in and stole a wall fan. In the first case, the schoolteacher, a resident of Pointe-aux-Sables, went to the Abercrombie police station around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, to report the theft.
On the afternoon of Wednesday May 31, the second case was reported by the school’s assistant principal, who lives in Baie du Tombeau. The school is under CCTV surveillance. An investigation has been launched by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Metropolitan Police’s Northern Division to trace the perpetrators of these thefts.
