Olivier Baissac Appointed New CEO Of ENL Agri Business

Since the 1st of July 2021, Olivier Baissac has been appointed as the new CEO of the agribusiness division of the ENL group. The latter succeeds to Jean Raymond Hardy who retired after spending 20 years with the ENL group.

It was in October 2019 that Olivier Baissac joined ENL Agri as Strategy and Development Manager. Agricultural graduate from the University of Western Australia, he has ten years of experience in Mauritius. He is very attached to sustainable practices and is already working on several initiatives aimed at securing the future of the agricultural division of the ENL group.

For him, it is an honor to succeed Jean Raymond Hardy whom he qualifies as a reference within ENL and the cane industry in Mauritius. “I thank the management of the group for the confidence placed in me. I am well aware of the major challenges facing the agricultural sector. I am very motivated to continue working alongside each member of the ENL Agri team to modernize and sustain the profitability of our group’s agribusiness pole”, he confides, thus setting the tone and the strategic direction of his projects.

Hector Espitalier-Noël, indicates that he has always found Jean Raymond Hardy to be a very competent and rigorous professional with humane and fair management skills. “We thank him for his important contribution to the prosperity and sustainability of the ENL agribusiness sector. We wish him a well-deserved retirement and welcome Olivier Baissac whom we know, without a doubt, will continue the work in favor of a modern and sustainable agricultural activity “, he added.
