He is supposed to defend the rule of law. But he is quiet,” he said. Navin Ramgoolam recalled the cases of Babry and Rozemont, who were convicted of contempt of court in the past. Navin Ramgoolam called on the people to get their act together. “We cannot allow a Prime Minister to flout the rule of law and insult the DPP and a magistrate,” he said. He said he expects the President of the Republic and the Chief Justice to take a stand on the matter.
According to Navin Ramgoolam, that there are attempts by the MSM to rig the elections. He added that “electoral fraud” has been discussed with Paul and Xavier on Thursday. He also said that a possible meeting with the electoral commissioner is being developed. Some concerns as the “anomalies” in the registration of voters will be raised.
